SIMPLE PRESENT
Formação:
verbo no infinitivo sem o to. Na 3º pessoa do singular recebe um s.
Usa-se o Simple Present para
expressar:
1 – Um fato.
EX:
Classes start at eight.
2 – Uma ação habitual, um
acontecimento. É geralmente
empregado com advérbios de tempo: always,
often, usually, frequently, sometimes, never every day, on Mondays, etc.
EX: I always listen
to the radio.
Bob works every day.
O Simple Present pode expressar
também verdades universais e ações futuras planejadas.
EX: Birds fly.
The train leaves in twenty minutes.
FORMAÇÃO NA 3° PESSOA DO
SINGULAR:
HE /
SHE / IT- a 3º pessoa do singular de alguns verbos recebe um s.
EX: work – Works love – loves sing – sings
- Nos
verbos terminados em SS, SH, CH, X, Z e
O, acrescenta-se o ES.
EX:
Kiss – kisses wash – washes watch – watches
Fix – fixes buzz – buzzes go – goes
- Se o
verbo terminar em Y precedido de
consoante, troca-se o y por ies.
EX:
Try – tries fly – flies
study – studies
EXCEÇÃO:

Explicando
o uso do infinitivo:
Em inglês, quando utilizado dois verbos juntos o
segundo virá no infinitivo que estará, geralmente, acompanhado pela partícula
“to”.
EX: I
want to call her now. (Eu quero
ligar para ela agora)
She wants to see her friends. (Ela quer ver os amigos dela)
I need to save money for my trip. (Eu preciso guardar dinheiro para minha viagem)
My father wants to make a phone call to you. (Meu pai quer fazer uma ligação para você)
